Best Foods Kai Reka by Remiah Chanelle Mani

NZ$1,400.00

Size: 32cm high × 20cm wide

Another common staple in the household & not just the Cook Islands. Definitely something that’s always in our fridge at home.

It’s added to so many dishes here, I should have added a straw to my drawing for how much it gets inhaled! Many a dressing/sauce base. Possible base of the infamous wet cheese? - I’m unsure of that one, don’t quote me on it. The Pink Potato salad that is spelt in different variations of ‘Mayonnaise’ Mainese Mainaise Maynaise etc etc

All I know is I like it, this brand in particular, I can’t be bothered making it from scratch & I try my ‘best’ not to have it all the time😅

Cook Island approved? 💯

Bit of fun original artworks.

Cook Island based visual artist Remiah, living in Rarotonga she has been honing her skills in painting for the past few years.

'My inspiration stems from my culture, my surroundings and mostly as a Cook Island woman. We hold a certain boldness about ourselves, as mothers, mama's, aunties, sisters, friends. With strength, elegance, playfulness and a touch of secrecy.’

Remiah loves creating using a wide range of mediums, but predominantly working with acrylic. “Exploring contemporary art styles all with a Cook Island flair connects me more to culture.'
